Heirloom Pumpkins and Watermelons

I am growing some connecticut field pumpkins and other types of pumpkins and melons. My pumpkins that are non heirloom are doing well, but the connecticut field pumpkin's fruit are yellow. (Is this normal?) The leaves look healthy but some of the vines are yellow. All my other pumpkins fruit start out green. There is plentiful fruit on the connecticut field pumpkin but the fruit is not getting any bigger. The biggest one is about a golf ball size. It has been watered regularly and I have fertilized it with 5/10/10. Can you give me any advice? Can you only grow one type of pumpkin because of cross pollination or is it something else?

Also, I am growing an heirloom watermelon, but I am also growing non hybrid watermelons as well. Will this give me problems. I am also growing gourds and two heirloom honeydews in my garden.
