I am writing an article about Indian corn; does anyone know of some Internet resources on the subject?

Take a look at the "Story of Corn" Resources Page. It's got some good links and info. I found this site while researching Mesquakie Indian corn, which I grew this year. It's a great corn, by the way; very colorful, productive and sturdy. Sandhill Preservation Center sells seed for it.

Tony West, an authority on Native American corns (particularly those of the southeast) will be at the Appalachian Heirloom Seed Conservancy's Fall Conference, October 6-8. I'm sure he'd be open to an interview if you feel like driving down for the conference.

If so, contact AHSC at KentuckySeeds@hotmail.com for details.

As Gardenlad stated, I'll be at the AHSC conference October 6-8. I'll be bringing a couple sample ears of a rare blue and white Cherokee flint corn to show around. Looking forward to the weekend.
