Bean: Jacob's Cattle, or is it?

Raymondo

I recently obtained some seeds for Jacob's Cattle but unfortunately none germinated. I've noticed that Trout seems to be another name for JC. I asked a bean enthusiast here if he had any JC seeds. He didn't but said that Boston Beauty is, to all intents and purposes, JC.

Does anyone have any light to shed on this - Jacob's Cattle=Trout=Boston Beauty?

Jacob's Cattle and Trout are synonyms. I'm not familiar with Boston Beauty, so don't know how it fits.

My Boston Beauty seeds have exactly the same markings as Trout/Jacob's cattle, but the bean is slightly shorter and rounder, not kidney shaped.

In all other respects, Boston Beauty is just as good as the others.
