Perennial Plant Association has announced that DOUBLE Lenten Rose,Helleborus hybridus, is the 2005 Perennial Plant of the Year? (excerpt from Heritage Perennials February e-letter)

I'm new to helebores but always admire the pictures, maybe this announcement will be my motivation to make room for some this year!

Oh...and any advice/tips?...would be appreciated!

I do believe Heritage has that slightly wrong - the PPA 2005 Plant of the Year is just simply Helleborus x hybridus, not the double form.

Here is a link that might be useful: PPA 2005 Plant of the Year

Oh dear, how frightfully embarrassing!

Thanks for correcting, Pam and the link...I obviously have lots to learn.
