While you were on the website, did you also happen to notice that the ID of 'Mrs. Betty Ranicar' and 'White Lady Spotted' are reversed? Makes you wonder..........

and Helleborus orientalis, all discussion is on Helleborus x hybridus.

After visiting the link listed above and running Google on the names, the plants seem to be listed correctly, it is hard to tell, because the spotting on the first picture does not show well. 'Mrs. Betty Ranicar'is a double white Helleborus.

I purchased, last year Sunmarble (which has variegated leaves) and one other, which at this time, I can not locate the label. I keep every label that comes with the plants that I purchase. I would love to obtain more of the colored varieties and some of the doubles.

My niece's subdivision purchased hundreds of the Helleborus, I think they were the SunShine variety, and planted them in the entry area of the subdivision last fall. When I asked her about how the plants were doing and if she could collect some seeds, she told me the subdivision removed the plants and replaced them with something else. What a shame!

I purchased my plants from a Nursey in Leroy, KS, Arnold's Nursery. This nursery has over twenty green houses and just about every plant one can imagine. I would love to be able to go this year, but I don't think that will be in the budget this year.

They changed the captions to the pictures, but the page still calls these hellebores, Helleborus orientalis when in fact they are Helleborus x hybridus.

My orientalis has self-sown around the mother plant. That seems like an easy way to get seedlings to me, though I have to transplant them.
