I am not an expert but my hellebores do well in the same semi shady area that I keep my hostas in. I searched for "Hellebore 'Melody'" on Google and found a pretty picture of "Double Melody' (link included)

Hellebores aren't invasive. They do start to reseed, but it is easy enough to pull them out. My guess is that you will want them to seed around when you see how pretty they are in bloom. I don't know if Melody is tissue cultures so that all the blooms will look the same? Perhaps they are a strain, but an internet search should tell you. They should like the same conditions as your hostas. They are evergreen and add some nice color in the winter, and you will need to cut off the old leaves in the spring before the new leaves emerge. You'll love the flowers that emerge even before the daffodils start blooming.
