Where can I find a helleborus orientalis in the Montreal area? I live on the south shore and have tried most nurseries I know of unsuccessfully.

Hi,
Did you try checking at the Brossard pepiniere on Grand Allee or the Botanix on St. Jean Boul. off of Taschereau. Next year you can get one from the Botanical Garden Sale.

Try some of the seed exchanges. I have some seeds coming (helleborus orentalis)from a seed exchange. If you e-mail me in a week or so...I´ll send you some.

I don't know how much success is had with them, but you can order them from Vesey's in PEI.

Hi there, in Toronto here they are available at Loblaws garden centres. I got great 1.5 foot tall plants (three leaves each). But, many pots were empty or dead so look carefully.
