hellebore steal

I just bought a "peppermint ice" winter jewels hellebore at the hardware store for $1.00! It's not in great shape, so they marked it down when I asked the manager. It's not dead, either. It has one very healty green leaf still growing.

I'm so excited! I look there occasionally and have gotten some good deals on mark downs in the past, but I never expected to find a hellebore!!

Congratulations! I'd love to stumble on a 'Peppermint Ice' period, never mind for a dollar!

I can't wait for it to bloom and have seeds to spread around the shade bed!
