From bright color flowers to....hellebores

I purchased my first hellebores today on clearance. Good size with very nice foliage. Cream and pinkish cream flowers I believe. (Some tags were missing)

I'm normally a bright color flower lover....but I liked the foliage so much I thought I could grow to love the blooms too ;)

Just curious To know how well you like yours. Did you love from the start or did they grow on you?...or could you live without?

Could they disappear from the garden from April to October ? Otherwise, I love them! (and currently miss them...didn't move any from last garden)..and I admit, I'm thinking I might have to find one..just plant for that Dec through March flowers.
