Not the best time to move them but with 3-4 year plants, it should be easy. Give them a good water and move them quickly without allowing the roots to dry out, into a deeply prepared soil with plenty of moisture(not waterlogged) added for a couple of weeks and they should be absolutely fine.

Here in southern NH, I grow many of my Hellebores in mostly sunny gardens... they flower and perform much better than those which I have planted in the shadier gardens. Helleborus niger, Helleborus foetidus, Helleborus argutifolius ('Janet Starnes')and Helleborus hybridus all receive full sun in the winter months and approximately 6+ hours of sun during the hottest part of the day (11 am - 5 pm or so) during the summer months... they show no leaf scorch and H. niger only limps once in awhile when we have had drought like conditions. If they are fully established plants than you may just want to leave them alone for a season or two to see how they perform. The sun in Indiana may be somewhat 'hotter' (closer to the equator and all) than it is up here so we may not be truly comparing apples to apples. Heck, contact Gene Bush at Munchkin Nursery... he grows Hellebores in Indiana... he may be able to give you some wonderful advice (and he's a very nice guy to boot).
