I'd like to try hellebores in front of my south east facing porch where it's usually pretty dry and, come May, very shady. Shouldn't this be a good spot? However, I realized this summer that the foliage I couldn't identify there in the past is actually that of hellebores! So why don't they bloom? Should I abandon this spot and try another location? Also which are the easiest to grow? Thanks!
