Christmas Rose buds

I noticed today that my Heleborus niger "Jacob" is already sending up flower buds. Does anyone else have flower buds already?

Not my niger, or nigercors - the bulk of my hellebores are oriental hybrids and every year I have a few that may bloom from about July onwards. In my garden, there seems to be a few of the double whites that will consistently bloom 'out of season' but others have surprised me too.

The ones here were blooming in late October.
