What is the best way to overwinter for the first year?

This is my first year attempting ET hellebores and I have about 30 individually potted healthy seedlings. I am wondering what to do to get the best survival rate through this winter. I live in Zone 5 and get our fair share of snowcover. I have overwintered other plants in pots by sinking the pot to the rim in my vegetable garden and they have returned fine the next year. I also have an 8x12 greenhouse that could be used to house plants. If the greenhouse is preferred, do I need to water through the winter or sink the pots in to the greenhouse beds? I plan on planting the surviving seedlings into a permanent location in 2006.

Thanks
