Did your seeds get the warm moist period before you put them into your refrigerator?

Our temps are just about perfect right now for moving the pots outdoors in this cool Z8. Rinsing, sowing, placing outside is exactly what I would do if I were to find moldy seed/vermiculite packets - and did do that with saruma seeds that had some mold or green algae beginning to show in their ziplocks. I don't know if it's necessary but with the saruma I decided to swish them around in a container of water with about an ounce hydrogen peroxide (3%) per pint of water, then rinse again.

I'm not sure why it happened either, all my hellebore seeds treated same way as the saruma, same package of vermiculite are fine - plump and clean.
