| I don't have seed - sorry. I think the best way of growing sage is from cuttings. A young plant costs about the same as a pack of seeds (at least it does in the UK) and you'll get quicker results. If you'd like any of the attractively coloured or marked forms of sage, these will need to be raised from cuttings. |

| You are right,Patsy I will never go through the trouble of growing sage, rosemary,thyme, oregano and lavender. I can buy a plant for a few dollars and I am done.They will last because they are perenials. I have 3 or 4 differents kinds of sages and all are store -bought. So are my lavender and rosemary. I do grow marjorams and summer savory though because they are annuals and easy to grow. |

| I usually buy young plants as well but have had good luck starting sage from seed as well. Sage, like many perennial herb plants, takes 2-3 years to be of any size to get much of a harvest. While a packet of seeds does usually cost about the same as a young plant, seeds do offer other varieties not usually to be had as a plant. Seeds also have genetic variances that can sometimes lead to absolutely terrific plants that are unique in their characteristics and quality. I'm sorry. No seeds to give or trade here. FataMorgana |
