Richter's actually ships from Buffalo, New York (after trucking their plants the short distance across the border), and is generally good about packing their plants carefully.

I've ordered from Richters for about 10 years and I live in NY State. Good place. I also order plants and seeds from Horizon Herbs and enjoy them immensely as well. These vendors plus other non-herb specific vendors for medicinal plants suite me just fine. But there are certainly other vendors that you can find via google, if you wish.

But fish tank herbs? No. Not me. I'll pass on the possible bacterial and parasitic organisms that could be present in a freshwater fish tank.

I'm not clear that theloud was looking to put fish and plants in the same tank. Some people just grow aquatic gardens without any fish in them at all...and put artificial plants in with the fish. I get the impression that maintaining an environment that keeps both the plants and the fish happy is a bit difficult.
