Any good sources for 'unusual' herb seeds?

I haven't seen a single catalog that offers seeds I've been looking for, like licorice seeds, or ramp seeds, stuff like that. Pinetree used to sell licorice seeds years ago, but stopped offering them. Anyone know of a good source? I put a wanted ad on seed exchange, but so far no takers.

Horizon Herbs is another good herb source. If you are looking for specific plants like ramps (Allium tricoccum) which is a "native" plant, you can try other sources like Prairie Moon Nursery. Most all the veggie seed sources carry culinary herb seed. FataMorgana

Thank you both, I will check them out! I forgot about Horizon herbs, never mind that I've got Richo Cech's book, lol! :) Thank you so much!

Write a note requesting a catalog from Backyard Herbs and Flowers. 8128 Maurer Rd., Apple Creek, OH.,44606. They are an Amish family so you can only communicate by mail or in person. My wife and I visited them yeaterday and were very impressed with their small business. Their catalog is very informative. If you get a catalog, let me know what you think. luke

also consider Everwilde seeds. They have a wide variety of seeds including plants which can be used as herbs such as a variety of wild alliums. I really like them!

Companion Plants also has a lot of fun herbs. Thyme Garden in Oregon is good too. Well Sweep Herb Farm in NJ. As well as Richters and Horizon Herbs that were mentioned before. I have purchased from all of these!

JL Hudson has American licorice seeds (and really cheap s&h) and Everwilde has Ramp seeds.
