Thrips attacking my basil- how to control while pregnant?

Thrips are attacking my garden, mainly the basils and citrus trees... How can I get rid of them while pregnant? I bought spinosad but afraid to use it, even though it is low toxicity.

Will Castile soap work? In what quantity and how often? Please help, I would like to gets id of them before I transplant my tomatoes outside...!

There is a totally non-toxic way of catching trips. Roll up newspapers to make tubes, dampen them and lay them near wherever the thrips are hanging out. The next day gather up the papers and toss them in the garbage and put out new damp rolls. Repeat until all thrips are collected. ( they like damp, dark places during the day. ).
