I have found that Mint does well in iron pots - the iron seems to keep away the Rust fungus. Of course, Mint and 'small pots' don't usually go together!

ddw, thanks for clarifying this for me, lol. I actually looked up 'ION' pots trying to figure out what she meant.

The big question that looms in my mind is, do the pots have drain holes?

I wondered the same thing as Dori, but figured there was an 'r' missing? .... hope we're right.

A friend sent me 4 mint cuttings (pineapple, spearmint, chocolate, and one I forget). I wasn't too interested in growing them, but I'd bet the friend I could keep them neat in small pots with some pruning/pinching attention:
