Lead Glazed HERB?? Pot

I bought a goregous blue pot to grow herbs outdoors and just found a little note saying that it contained Cadmium glaze--drat! The glaze is on the outside and top rim of the pot, about where the thyme would drape. Do I need to use it for non edibles instead?

According to what I just read, cadmium glazes are generally not used in food-safe/dinner ware pottery. I would opt for plain terra cotta or plastic pots for the herbs you wish to use. I would use the glazed pot for an ornamental only plant instead.
