Bay Laurel w/tiny spiders

This morning I went to take the Bay Laurel outside for the first time this spring. I got it last spring and it did well outside all summer and inside all winter, even grew a little in my very sunny dining room. I picked up the pot and realized it and the soil, but not the plant, were covered in tiny spiders (counted 20 at least). I didn't see any spiders on the other plants and am not sure what to do about this, we've not had any insect-type problems with indoor plants. I don't have anything against spiders, so maybe just get it out of the house?
