I recently bought a small fern leaf lavender (Lavandula pinnata), and its doing great so far under a grow light. It has a long single flower stalk on it that has not yet opened. I was wondering if I cut off the flower stalk, would it help the plant put more energy into other areas of growth?

I know next to nothing about lavender care, so please forgive me if this is a newbie question :)
