Water every other day is too much. They are water logged and rotting. The only time I water anything every day or every other day are outside container or garden plants when we have extended periods of dryness and 90+ F degree heat - which doesn't happen all that very often here.

Most houseplants can do watering once a week or less depending on indoor humidity and types of plants.

I agree that watering once a week is enough for most house plants as thats what i do with mine as well and they are all doing well. however, when i tried that with the mint, they wilted. Just flopped. It is only after i water that they perk up! Hence, i doubt its a case of over watering but maybe under? Maybe mint cant be kept as house plants?
I really want to have them thriving!

Okay - Hardy only means cold tolerant ie outside in winter. That being said if you don't have a garden and want to try them indoors go for it. Remember though they aren't houseplants - they might not be pretty enough for you. Also when you are forcing something to grow in an unnatural way - root new babies and toss the mother from time to time.

Mint outside or in a greenhouse loves moisture - I planted mine in water filled spots in my field. How often you water depends on your conditions. How dry is your air? What size pots do you have them in now?

Flopping sounds like they are reaching for sun or too much food. I would feed them less. I would place your pots on pebble filled saucers for humidity. If you have more than one plant I would cut one back hard. When it starts producing new growth I would cut the other. You want to force new leaves and stems.

Any stems you cut can be dried or put into water to root. Enjoy!

Agree with the others - change watering schedule to once a week (at most) and feeding schedule to once a year (if that).
