I would plant it at the same depth it was growing.

I would, if I knew. But I've never seen the plant growing. This came to me from someone else, who is out of reach at the moment.

The roots are planted rather shallowly - just below the surface of the soil. The rootlets spread out like fingers just under the soil line.
