Ice cubes to water cilantro

So the weather is warming up but i want to grow cilantro for a little while longer. So i was thinking that if it gets to be above 75 degrees during the day, i use a few ice cubes to water my cilantro that are in pots rather than normal water to keep the roots cool. Has anyone tried this before?

I would place the ice cubes in the pot during the hotest part of the day btw (from about 12-2pm) not in the morning or evening.

It is hard to lie to mother nature so I just let them go to seed and harvest the seeds for next planting season.
