Healing Spices

ordered the book. after hearing the author beeing interviewed on katherine albrecht radio show. been taking turmeric for several years now as a spice. in olive oil usually over sautteed veggies. Or celery sticks with tumeric sprinkled in olive oil. heck it is even good ono popcorn and a little salt...

well can only find curcumin as "turmeric'' the spice.

Can not find it locally but one place as a root. In small sealed dried plants packs are small like 3 ounce packs for $4. can not find it fresh as tubers

The author in interview said the spice was as potent as the :curcumin longca

any thoughts?.

Turmeric is available in most supermarkets here - dried spice in the spice isle or with international (Indian) foods. For fresh root I would check asian, healthy/natural, and Indian food markets. If you are looking for herbal remedies with curcumin, just google it.

Turmeric makes for a pretty plant. I started another one this winter. It is just sprouting.

I can NOT get the root.... This is a fairly large city too. what a shame.

Such a shame that you can not find. Have you tried to order so that you can grown yourself. It is great to hear that you are going to extremes looking for something that you love and it is healthy. I vote grow it, if you are in a climate that the plant will adapt to, and have fun gardening.
