Yes, sage, including the variegated and coloured ones, gets flowers. I agree that if you google sage you get a lot of different Salvias but if you google Salvia officinalis flowers you will get plenty of hits.However, there are still quite a few pictures which are misidentified. The one in the link is the real thing.
