I think January-February is the time for starting onions here. But are your onions growing now? If so, they will most likely produce bulbs but not full size ones. I wouldn't give up on them though. Small onions are good too!

I like grow to onions and leeks but don't want to start them indoors myself. I buy starts from Dixondale Farms - great place that I've been ordering from for years.
