What are some sources you use for your herbs?
I had a pretty good start on my herbs and other plants, thanks to my Daddy. We worked on it for years. Then life happened and we had to sell our home. I am now trying to start over, just not sure where to even start.

If you give us a little more information on what you are looking for, we can better suggest something. Are you looking for:

- culinary or medicinal herbs?
- herb plants or seeds?
- Any growing conditions (sun, shade, wet, dry, etc.) that you would be growing in?

Hi FataMorgana,

I am looking for both culinary and medicinal herbs. Plants would be great, but seeds would work. I have sunny to shady growing areas. I can also grow in pots. I am in zone 7.

As general herb sources for both medicinal and culinary, I would suggest Richters and Horizon Herbs. They carry both seeds and plants.

If you are looking for seed of culinary herbs, like basil or dill, most any of the seed vendors carry them - try Baker Creek, Territorial Seeds, Johnnys, and more. They have many named varieties that let you choose the type that best suits your purposes.

If looking for more specialty items, like Asian herbs, try more specialized vendors like Kitazawa Seed. Or if native medicinal plants, try Prairie Moon or Forest Farm for a wide selection of those.
