When to begin pruning Kaffir Lime Tree

Hello, I have a grafted kaffir lime tree that is just over a foot tall. I am wondering at what point I should begin pruning to ensure that it becomes bushy. Should I allow it to continue to grow first before I start cutting it? Also, any advice or links that picture exactly how to prune it would be great. Thank you. Here is a picture.
