Will letting the oregano flower affect the potency of its leaves? I always cut flowers off of all my herbs because I thought the flavor would be impacted (like it is for sweet basil).

I've never noticed any negative impact on the post-blooming flavor for chives, sage, oregano, thyme, etc. There are many culinary herbs that that you don't have to fret about letting them bloom.
