I had it two years ago in my garden. It is not really pure red. It is more of pupleis with a hint of green. I think it also depends on the amount of sunshine. I have also seen ith with tha same color in Asian markets. I have rooted three green plants from store bought and the are alread in my garden, about 8" tall already.

Thank you. Mine is currently all green. While I did not anticipate a red-red, I was hoping for a little color. Oh well. I am hoping it will grow quickly because the first taste was great.
