Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, but seeing I love to cook and love fresh herbs, I hope to be back often. Last year I bought a small pot of basil at the local grocery store. Looking at pictures on line now, it appears to have been Mediterranean ("sweet") basil.

I live in Massachusetts and everything that I have read I had no expectations of it coming back this year. Well, in the same spot I have a large (1 foot high) plant growing. It looks nothing like the Basil I planted last year but smells like a very spicy Basil. The leaves have a fuzzy feel to them, especially on the underside on the spine.

I took a couple pictures and put them on Webshots. If you could look at them and let me know what you think, I would be grateful.
