propagating rosemary

I would like to share my exciting experience propagating rosemary from cuttings. I have friend who has a huge rosemary bush, 3-4 feet high. I took a couple of dozen cuttings about 3-4 inches long and dipped the ends in rooting powder and stuck them in a commercial potting mix. At least half of the cuttings have survived. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to propagate.

Grats Pvel, I to was amazed at how easy it was. I always thought it would be hard for a hard stemed item like rosmary, but it is not.

Vivian. I have used Miracle Gro potting mix for cuttings as well as all my spring veg, flower and herb seeds with good results. I have used this last year to germinate Curry Leaf seeds with great success. I love the stuff! Paul

I have even just stuck them into the ground and kept them well watered for them to take root. Cutting are the best way to get new plants of Rosemary started.
