Trying to Identify this Herb

Hi Everyone

I have just moved house and am trying to identify what I have in my garden. I have come across this plant which I think is probably some sort of Oregano / Marjoram. It has a strong smell which would indicate that, but the leaves seem thicker than I would expect. It has a purple flower! It is well established and good ground cover. Any help in identifying exactly what it might be would be appreciated!

Looks like a variety of sage.

Although the leaves have more of a feel of sage, none of the other characteristics of the plant are like sage.....not saying it's not though......Thanks for that

Anyone else??

Plectranthus amboinicus, cuban oregano, I believe.

Thanks everyone, this has been identified as Plectranthus ornatus, it's in the mint family same as oregano, marjoram and sage. I think also known by the common name Dog Bane.

Gotta love common names. "Dog bane" here is Apocynum cannabinum or "indian hemp." Is a nice cordage plant see my article in the link.
