If they appear to be healthy and strong looking, I'd just be patient. They're root systems might be doing lots of growing in that 'one huge container' where you can't see!

You will have to fertilize container grown herbs, you know. If you are watering that often, regular (low dose) applications will be necessary. Please be careful not to over water! Why is it that 2X/day is necessary?

I water twice a day when it is hot and dry... and i water in low doses. I am thinking that the soil is looking too compact... I used potting soil but it looks compact, even though it is draining well. They are stunted for sure. It has been weeks and they havent moved :( maybe i will start some new seeds so i am not without basil.
