It should root easily. Let it sit out on the counter for 2-3 days to callous over the wound. Then dip into rooting hormone powder (optional but increases the odds of success), and insert into moist media that is very high in sand/grit, a cactus/succulent mix. Keep barely moist, in bright diffused light. Should root in a couple of months.

My aloe has survived many a fall and is still growing! Keep it in a warm bright area. Mine loves it close to the warm tv and dvr box in a south east window. And i love it because thats pretty much all it requires of me, except a drop of water from time to time.

thanks - a few days ago I was like - duh! - why have the aloe in the aircon house? We never keep it too cool, but bring it down to 75 or so on superhot days - and we've had a lot lately!

took the 2 aloes and the stevia into the kitchen - not airconned - hopefully they like it in there. it's 103 out - the kitchen about 90 or so......house maybe 80 if were lucky......
