It's about to flower. Entirely up to you whether you cut it now or not. But a clipping over after it has flowered will keep it bushy and neat.

Oregano is a perennial. Unless it is truly unhappy in its location or is severely abused, it will come back from the clipping and come back each year.

As a rule, you only cut 1/3 or less of the living plant material off before letting it regrow for plants you wish to keep (like perennials). Oregano can tolerate way more than 1/3 but your plant doesn't require anything radical. It has a nice look to it. Try to clip to the shape you want and then regularly pinch to keep that shape.

i clipped down to where the leaves were larger and used some of them last night in my stuffed peppers. hopefully i can continue to get some bigger leaves like i have at the bottom of the plant!
