Is a window box a possibility for you?

A window box is a definite possibility. Would that be preferable to a large pot? How would I go about starting one?

If I didn't have outdoor space (balcony, garden space, etc.) at an apartment to either have a container garden or to plant directly into the soil, I would opt for a window box. It allows the plants unfiltered sunlight, fresh air, wind, rain - all sorts of good Mother Nature mojo. The plants grown outdoors - even in containers or window boxes far out distance the indoor grown plants in size, vitality, and taste.

Different herbs have different requirements. For example, Rosemary, an evergreen shrub, will have different requirements than Parsley, a herbaceous biennial. To get the best answer, you really need to let us know what herbs, specifically, you would like to grow. There is no one answer fits all, unfortunately, if you want an accurate answer that is.
