My 8 year old and 5 ft. bay tree is pot bound, (hardly any leaves but healthy trunk). Can I do root pruning on it? it's the only way I know to be able to regenerate this plant. The pot it's in is large enough for me to move about. Any larger it would be too heavy and so I have no choice but to keep the plant at it's present size. Also I need to add new soil and more nutrients. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

Hi ianna, You may want to ask this over in Containers forum. There are some very knowledgeable people over there that may be able to help with root pruning. JoJo

Hey, ianna. Is it an indoor plant? I have a bay too but was told it was not hardy in zone 5.
