smelt herby,but not exactly minty,not too sure what a pint plant is suppose to smell like ,it is still very young so decided to taste a piece,it has a slight burning sensation,so it could possibly be mint any one else has any idea what kind it could be?

It looks like a mint, but take Fatamorgana's advice and don't ingest even a tiny bit unless you have an expert identify it for you. Crush a larger leaf, smell it. Mints usually have a strong smell, but there are literally hundreds of species of mint.....

Take a fresh piece of it to a herb nursery, or to your local botanical gardens or horticulture school/university for examination. Don't be stingy - give them plenty to work with.

looks a lot like orange mint to me...
