Spearmint..When to harvest?

I planted spearmint from seed 2 or 3 months ago and it is now close to 2ft tall. It's in a pot, gets afternoon sun and morning shade. I water 3x a week. Recently I have been watering more frequently because of the heatwave in my area. When should I harvest it? Also, it doesn't smell like mint. I haven't tasted it yet.

To smell its fragrance, you have to lightly rub the leaves, or tear them.

If minimal mintiness, too much water and/or too little sunlight.

Harvest some now.
