Lavender

Hello
I have just planted 30 Lavender plants and they are in the proper soil (excellent drainage, sandy loamy, on a slight slope). I am happy some are doing nicely but 4 or 5 are totally brown ( dead?) or struggling.
The thing is that one plant may be thriving while the one right next to it is near dead.
Any advice or comments?

Have you firmed the soil correctly around each plant? Have you watered thoroughly? And continued to water?

They are struggling because of the ULTRA tropical humidity levels and rain. Please, do not water any more! Just pray for drier weather.
