| I was thinking of sending a gift magazine subscription to a friend who is interested in herbs. Does anyone have a recommendation? I would categorize my friend as fairly new to herbs, if that makes a difference. |

| The "Herb Companion" and "Herb Quarterly" are both friendly to people that are new to herbs as well as more experienced persons. Lots of photos, a variety of topics from kitchen recipes to medicinal uses to craft ideas to gardening info and more. Just google them and browse the info they have on their website to see what appeals to you/your friend. FataMorgana |

Apparently the Herb Companion is no more. I had a subscription and instead of it arriving this month they sent me "Mother Earth Living". I was so disappointed. It didn't have as much herbal stories or information so I cancelled my subscription. I am in mourning for my Herb Companion! I guess I'll have to go look at The Herb Quarterly but who knows that may go bust as well! Joann |

The Essential Herbal is good too for newbies as well. Herb Quarterly RIP Herb Companion... Mother Earth Living give me a break when the publisher promises no change to the format I wanted to laugh. |

| Oh... soooo sad. I let my subcription lapse when we moved and so didn't know. |
