Can you post a picture? It's hard to visualise these 'puckered' stems.

Hi, I cant post a picture right now, but it has pickers not puckers on its stems. Pickers like a picker plant!!
But its not a picker plant.

My horseradish doesn't have prickers on the stem. It is a rather smooth plant. I'd guess you have a weed. Please post a picture.

Yes - if it has prickles it isn't horseradish.

This is the first time I ever heard about anyone having a Problem getting horseradish to grow. You must have gotten a old root as even the ones in the grocery stores when soaked to restore their water content seem to do well once planted.
