Caterpillar like things on my mint! (pic)

What is this thing? They are eating up all my mint! And what to do about it? Some sort of organic spray? Cause I use the hole plant and would prefer not to ingest chemicals.

Thanks, James

If they are that big, pick off by hand. No chemicals required.

Army worms...they usually appear in droves so keep a good eye out for them and remove them when you find them. Best time to hunt for them is in the evening hours or very early a.m. The birds like them; you may want to consider tossing them into the bird bath. If not, just drop into a can of soapy water to drown efficiently.

3/4 cup sugar
2 bananas, mashed
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts
2 eggs
1/4 cup dry-roasted army worms

Reminds me of a recipe for cricket cookies I saw.
