Have you been watering these plants?

I know, it sounds like I haven't been. But yes I have.

In that case, they're probably fine and you're probably just seeing some sacrifices these plants are making in order to adjust. Are you able to put some mulch around the bottom of them? If they seem wilty when you water, maybe water more often. If they're not dry yet, don't water again.

Thanks for your help. I will make sure they aren't wet. I suppose I do need to be more diligent about their watering schedule. And I will mulch them today, I have some leftover. I was just told that too much mulch around the plants can be bad. Matbe in my case they need more mulch. Awesome thanks so much for your help purpleinopp!

Most garden-related stuff is dependent on your climate. Climates are divided into gardening zones. You can find your zone here, which is probably zone 8. If you include your zone and state in your profile info, it will show up next to your name automatically when you say something on these forums. Then you don't have to type about living in CO. That will allow people to better know what kind of advice to give you. Most people include their state, too. The "8b AL" next to my name means I'm in zone 8b, in Alabama.

Nygardener, my plants are in the ground. It's just been brutally hot and dry here.

I can sympathize. We've had brutal dryness here. Even trees and shrubs that have been in the ground for years are turning brown. Do what you can to give them some water, mulch, or even shade. My bee balm loves its partial shade location.
