Brown leaves on bee balm and burning bush

I am hoping someone can help me figure out what is going on. I have a front porch that faces south, it gets full sun and is concrete. I planted a burning bush on the front corner of my porch in June. In the past week many of the leaves have turned brown and look droopy. When I look further down inside the base of the plant, the leaves look ok. So I am unsure of what is happening, my suspicions are heat. I live in Colorado and it has been hot hot hot.

My bee balm is kinda the same thing. But I planted the bee balm just a couple of weeks ago-in retrospect that probably was not very smart. However, the leaves started turning brown on the edges and then slowly turned the whole leaf brown. But this was primarily yapping on only one side of the plant, not all over. I was told that it was a sign of iron deficiency. But again, I am thinking it is heat.

Does anyone have any clues?? I'm lost...

Thanks!
