Is this even Cilantro?

This was my second attempt at planting coriander seeds and I thought things were going well, but after a few weeks the plants are starting to look suspiciously like the weeds I get in the garden. Should I feel really stupid right now?

Your suspicions are correct (and you shouldn't feel stupid...it's probably happened to all of us).

Well, that's just disheartening. I don't understand why I'm having such a problem with these. I'm taking the seeds right from a dried plant and putting them in a mixture of soil and potting mix. Am I missing something important?

They need cooler weather to germinate. What you have is a grass coming up. Cilantro will look more like carrots. They may take a while to germinate.
