I do know lemon grass will grow almost anywhere even in shade, you can try and see what happens. My mint was not as aggressive here in fact it died this year but my lemon grass wants to take over anywhere I have planted a cut shoot. It has not missed a beat. My problem is I do not find that the taste has much strength so far. Maybe I am doing something wrong?
