This is my first year growing pineapple sage (salvia elegans). It's grown enormously (to about 5ft tall), with woody stems. Anyone have experience growing this in zone 7b/8 know what's next with this plant - does it drop it's leaves and grow like a deciduous shrub? Should I prune it down like my fruit trees?
